2010 World Rowing Championships were held at Lake Karapiro from 30th Oct - 7th Nov.
Everyone agreed Karapiro Lake at Cambridge to be of World class standard. Thousands of cheering Kiwis and overseas visitors basked in glorious sunshine all week. The regatta was a fantastic spectacle. The food carts had a local flavor including hangi, smoked eel and mussel fritters.
Kelvin and I consider ourselves extremely privileged to have hosted such an enjoyable group of guests from America and Canada. Susan and Peter Mallory (Los Angeles),Jim and Terry Byrnes (Ethaca USA), Mary and Gregg Hanson(Winnipeg Canada)
Jim commented that it was "like a party all week" from us we say "thankyou Guys for such a wonderful fun week".

Evening get together, wine tasting ,meeting in the hall.

An enjoyable morning tea in the lounge lots of talking and laughter. A tour through the B/B/ suites then shed inspection, yes even the ladies find this very interesting!! Kelvin has some of his stationary moters running for groups and creates a lot of steam, ready to impress.
